Anahata Ayahuasca

Anahata Ayahuasca is a non-profit retreat center in Peru, located high in the mountains above the Sacred Valley near Pisac, the spiritual heart of the Andes. Ayahuasca retreats at Anahata also include a San Pedro Huachuma ceremony, Native American sweat lodge, yoga, conscious breathwork, and one-on-one time with the Shipibo Maestros serving the center. Accommodations are single rooms shared with 1 other guest, including private bath. Meals are organic and vegetarian, sourced from a local co-op.

APL Shamanic Journeys

Ayaselva Retreat Center

Ayaselva is a small, family-owned ayahuasca retreat center located in the peaceful jungle of Tamshiyacu, near Iquitos. They host a maximum of six guests to provide personal guidance and genuine care throughout the entire healing process. Ayahuasca Foundation

Ayahuasca Foundation is unique among retreats in Peru as it is also a training facility offering courses teaching new curanderos to work with the medicine in the Shipibo tradition. This center also offers longer retreats, with more ceremonies, for deeper healing. Ayahuasca Spirit Healing Center

Ayahuasca Spirit Healing Center is a destination for serious travelers, outwardly and inwardly. Located 1 hour by boat from Pucallpa, this center is a place to immerse yourself in nature and the process of healing. Offering longer retreat durations, 1-on-1 attention, and integration assistance by a renowned Peruvian shaman, this is a more traditional approach to Ayahuasca compared to the many resort-style retreats catering to foreign visitors. Rooms are simple with electricity, bathrooms, and water. Meals are healthy and organic with vegetarian and vegan options.

Ayaterra Center

Ayaterra Center is a Cusco-based retreat fascilitator that works with both Ayahuasca and San Pedro in a beautiful Andean mountain setting. Ayaterra offers shorter encounters with these sacred plant medicines, from 1-day to full 7-day retreats. This may be a good option for participants that are first encountering Mother Aya, or who have time restrictions. For overnight guests facilities are simple and comfortable with all meals provided. Blue Morpho

Blue Morpho was established in 2002 and has guided over 12,000 participants in the Amazon basin outside of Iquitos. Now offering a 2nd stunning location in the Sacred Valley, retreats with Blue Morpho include plant medicine ceremonies with both Ayahuasca and San Pedro, with support from highly trained facilitators. Accommodations and amenities are different at each location, but include massage, sauna, jacuzzi, pool, yoga and meditation spaces.

Casa Del Maestro

Casa Del Maestro is an authentic, family-run Ayahuasca plant medicine center in the lineage of renowned Maestro Don Alberto Torres Davila. Providing both retreats and longer dietas to small groups of 12 or less, Casa is an excellent destination for a traditional experience in the Amazon. With a particular focus on clean medicine, the brew is made onsite with homegrown plants and the participation of each guest. Accommodations are simple, shared lodging with shared bathrooms.

El Purguero

El Purguero is a rustic, jungle Ayahuasca camp located 23km from Iquitos. The retreat was established and operated by Don Ron Wheelock, known locally as The Gringo Shaman of the Amazon. Don Ron was trained by renowned shamans and has been serving as an Ayahuasquero for more than 25 years. El Purguero serves the most mature aya brew, prepared onsite, and considered the strongest and purest in Iquitos. Retreats include shared lodging in a communal bunk house or jungle huts, meals of fresh local produce, plant baths, and oje purge.

Etnikas Integrative Medicine

Etnikas Integrative Medicine has been operating for more than 40 years and is one of the most famous Ayahuasca retreats in Peru, located in a beautiful mountain valley, 1 hour from Cusco. With medical staff onsite, Etnikas prioritizes the physical and psychological safety of participants, while working with experienced Shipibo healers to maintain the authenticity of the experience. Retreat sizes are limited to 18 people, and include shared lodging, delicious meals, and transport to and from Cusco.

Flower of Life

The flower of life is a symbol of creation – the process of bringing something new into existence. This center offers a variety of retreat lengths, deep in the Amazon at Lakshmi Ecolodge. The Healing Tree Center provides affordable Ayahuasca and San Pedro plant medicine retreats in the Sacred Valley, with a particular focus on health and safety. Participants will receive 7 phases of health examination and preparation before embarking on ceremony. Healing Tree is unique in offering primarily short-length retreats varying from 1-7 days, including single ceremonies. This may be a good option for first-time participants who may not be ready or have the time available for a longer retreat. Transport, shared lodging, and all meals are included.

La Luna del Amazonas

La Luna del Amazonas is a traditional healing center that honors the ancient Amazonian shamanic traditions, nestled deep within the lush embrace of the rainforest, 1 hour from Iquitos. In 1987, local village shamans opened a clinic, but as the outside world discovered Ayahuasca and came calling, the clinic evolved into the current center – both the oldest AND the newest around. Retreats are limited to 10 guests and include one-on-on consultations, workshops, flower baths, nature hikes, local village and Monkey Island excursions. Mai Niti Healing Center

Nimea Kaya was established in 2013 on 25 acres of lowland jungles in the Amazon, near Pucallpa. This renowned plant medicine center offers 7 and 9-day retreats to a maximum of 14 participants. With a particular focus on personalized attention, each guest will receive one-on-one consultations with Shipibo shamans and facilitators, including post-ceremony integration. Retreats also include yoga & meditation classes, sound & floral baths, boat excursion, native art exhibition, and airport transfers. All meals are plant based, adhering to the traditional Ayahuasca diet. Lodgings are simple, ecological, single and double cabins.

Novalis

Novalis is an Ayahuasca retreat center in the southern Peruvian Amazon, east of the Sacred Valley, near the Bolivian border. Comprised of a mostly ingenious team of facilitators, Novalis is unique in working within several plant medicine traditions – Shipibo, Matsegengka, Mestizo, and Andean. Ronin Sina is an affordable Shipibo-owned and operated Ayahuasca healing center in central Peruvian Amazon, near Pucallpa. There are no English facilitators, the only languages spoken are Shipibo and Spanish.
