Soltara Scarlet Valley

Central Pacific Valley, San José Province, Costa Rica

Scarlet Valley is the newest Costa Rica Ayahuasca retreat space, offered by Soltara, just 90 minutes from San Jose, and 30 minutes from the Pacific Ocean.

Located in the lush mountains of the Central Pacific Valley, near Carara National Park, this rainforest destination is alive with wildlife, more than 400 species of birds, dozens of fruit trees, and vibrant tropical gardens. The retreat offers sprawling valley views, a temperate mountain climate, and deep sense of peace – the perfect setting for encountering Mother Ayahuasca.

The Soltara Scarlet Valley grounds feature walking paths throughout the property, towering trees, flowering gardens, indoor and outdoor communal spaces, and a permaculture project, providing fresh food grown onsite. There’s even a freshwater fish pond to nourish guests directly from the land.

The modern facilities are recently built, including a brand-new ceremonial maloca, gym, spa, and saltwater pool. Guest accommodations are designed for rest, comfort, and privacy, with a range of options for individual preferences and budgets. Most rooms include private bathrooms with hot showers, balconies with mountain or garden views, comfortable beds with luxury linens, air conditioning, and décor with local artisanal touches.
